Remember this little guy?
He has a new post.
Please say hello to little Rocco Luciano Francese. He was born last week to our best friends from San Francisco, Caroline and Sergio. Welcome to the world, little lamb. Many months ago, I had a difficult time trying to create an appropriate gift for baby Francese; his sex and name remained top-secret until his birth last week. Gender neutral crafts are not my specialty, but I still put love into every stitch. This photo made my heart melt into a puddle. Rocco and Mr. Owl , looking very sleepy together.
Seeing this makes me want to rip the sealed craft boxes open and launch into a frenzy of hand-stitching. I have never gone this long without making something, however small, and I sense the onset of craft-related brain fever. I even dreamt last night that I was QUILTING. Seriously. Quilting. I suck at quilting. Though I don't think that was quite the point. It will be very difficult to resist new projects until we move. There is an inexplicable joy that comes from seeing the things you make in their new homes, being loved the way you only hoped. Can't wait for our drive north, when we will actually get to see our dear friends (+1) in person....and Mama Caroline, I promise not to be this sappy when I arrive at your doorstep. I'll pull myself together. Promise.
